The finishing touch on all db sweets cakes is the icing, of course. Our icing of choice is rolled fondant.
Fondant is a sweet, elastic
sugar icing which is incredibly versatile. It can be rolled flat, sculpted, cut, embossed and manipulated
to achieve wonderfully creative results. Cakes can also be covered in
marzipan or a combination of marzipan and fondant giving you the almond flavor of marzipan and the versatility of rolled fondant.
We use other edible materials in the creation of our cake designs including: gumpaste, royal icing, modeling chocolate and
a variety of food-safe paste,gel and powder colors.
